New York Times Bestselling Author of UGLY and MISTRUST.

I have something people want. I have something they cannot take or steal. I have something they'd kill for.
The something I have, isn't a possession, it's more.
Much, much more.
It's a gift.
It's part of me.

  • Couldn’t Put It Down

I was looking for a free book to read on a long trip. Didn’t realize there was 2 books and you have to buy the 2nd for the rest of the story. By the end of the first book I was hooked! Pleasantly surprised that the 2 book set was available for 3.99. Well worth the price. I found it hard to put down.

  • Pure crap

Even for a YA novel, one of the worst books I have read in a decade...
  • Disappointed

I thought the book was going to be based on the movies called the Butterfly Effect. Not so.
  • The Curse: The Butterfly Effect

I was surprised by this book, I didn't expect much going in, but The Curse has kept me wanting more and more. I like the way the author has written about a topic not much heard of in suspense novels. Also I like how you truly don't know what's coming next, and boy was I taken off guard by what happened at the end of the first part. Now I'm onto the second part, and I'm on the edge of my seat wanting to know what is coming next. It's totally not a disappointment reading this book, it's very exciting. I Love it!!!!
  • So So

Stared out very good. Thought this might be the book I was looking for. Good writing but not crazy about the middle or the ending. Leaves you hanging to read the next book. I prefer an ending or a conclusion.

Once you've read the first free book, you must buy the second. So, decide if you want to pay the $3.99. Otherwise, I wouldn't read the first one. Was very good, though.

  • The writing is amazing. The storyline is fantastic. It's truly an addicting book!

The Gift is the first book in the Butterfly Effect series. Actually, I don't know if it's going to be a series or a duet. Either way it's the first one, right? I am going to make this short since I can't really say much about the storyline. At the age of sixteen, Alexa's life changes. She wakes up confused and has no idea what has happened to her but she feels different. Then, it happens. Her gift is presented to her. She doesn't know what to do with it. But soon she finds out that people would kill for it. Yeah. Sorry. That's all you will get out of me about the story. It will make the story even better with the surprises though. I will say that the characters are well-developed. The writing is amazing. The storyline is fantastic. It's truly an addicting book. You will want the next book as soon as you see the last words. And Thank God Margaret isn't going to make us wait too long. Overall...I was hooked in from the very first page. It's a fast read that you leave you wanting more. Quotes: “You’ll definitely be the one who’ll have all the attention.” “Great, attention, exactly what I crave,” I say sarcastically. “Did I just open Pandora’s box? Should I ask Scotty to beam me up?” “Well, this should be fun,” he says in his overconfident but sexy voice.
